Arab newspaper was founded in 1972 as the first political daily newspaper published by Qatar University. It is founded by Dean Abdullah Hussein and he served as editor in chief.
Al Arab newspaper was issued as six pages at the beginning and sold at that time, with a value of AED 50. The paper had correspondents in both Cairo and Amman and Algeria.
